Come celebrate the queens birthday in style by driving/flying/skating to wellington and partaking in the second ever longboarding race in New Zealand. Meet at the wellington train station 11:30am, Saturday the 31st
We will have a 10km point-to-point race along the waterfront followed by some slalom and perhaps some down hill for the adventurous. | ||

Our mate Duncan has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. MND is a debilitating neurological condition that affects nerves that control voluntary muscles. They gradually stop working until the body stops functioning - while the mind is still active. MND has a prognosis of two to five years, and kills five people a day in the UK alone. There is no cure. | ||

Craig and I skated the cycle lane from the top of pukerua bay into porirua the other day and discovered it's perfect for a mild downhill cruise. No traffic, fairly smooth roads and the best part - a train can take us back to the top. Saturday the 21st is international Go Skate Day so I thought we should do something a bit more adventurous than the waterfront. This isn't very steep so anyone who can footbreak is welcome to come along. Get a $10 rover pass and we can do a few runs of the cycle path plus some nice paved stuff in porirua. | ||

The weather forcast for this weekend is pretty shite, so its time to take the session indoors, well sort of. like normal we'll start in newmaket at our usual haunts beffore making our way to some of the downtown garages.If anyone need a lift fron the britomart or the ferry terminal just sayb so. bring your gloves and maybe a helmet. 20km skate form day's bay back into Wellington. We will be taking the ferry over to day's bay. Helmets and red blinkers will be essential as it will be dark. This skate is weather dependent so if is raining it will be called off. the ferry leaves for day's bay at 5.15pm the fair's are BOOOOO its raining so no skate | ||
