Its a long way to come but it would be pretty good to get a 'proper' slalom race happenning in NZ. I'm lonely down here...
Get your ass outta bed nice and early sunday morning and head north to the waiwera area, for some DH. This little event will only take place if there is sufficient intrest. We'll decide as a collective exactly what the plan is over the next 4 days. If nobody's game than F it we'll do it another time. The floor is open to all and any ideas.....
We are hitting the track so bring your lid, gloves and pads and get your drift on!
We'll start at 7pm sharp and finish at 9:30 or whenever people have had enough which ever happens first. The only the loos at the track will be open so bring your own food and drink, and don't forget cash for your licence and track dues. I'll post up here tomorrow afternoon to confirm times
We are looking all good for skating the track in the early hours of the morn so come get some of the goodness that you deserve

How to Skate Luge tracks 101
Come one and all for an hour of dh basics like the trusty Colman, the handy foot brake the nifty aero tuck and the all to important Carnie crash technique.
From about 6pm we will head up the hill and try a little of what we learnt on some of the best corners in town! after every one is well warmed up we will take those that feel safe and confident enough up the magic carpet to ride this beast top to toe!
Once again we will be riding both sat and sunday so long as the track is dry so come out and ride it cause its a super fun hill
Now we also have some track time sat night so no excuse to not make it out some time!
how about we all meet up between 3-4 and go skating some where near town, remuear, ponsonby or downtown?
