Craig and I skated the cycle lane from the top of pukerua bay into porirua the other day and discovered it's perfect for a mild downhill cruise. No traffic, fairly smooth roads and the best part - a train can take us back to the top.
Saturday the 21st is international Go Skate Day so I thought we should do something a bit more adventurous than the waterfront.
This isn't very steep so anyone who can footbreak is welcome to come along.
Get a $10 rover pass and we can do a few runs of the cycle path plus some nice paved stuff in porirua.
This won't be much fun if it rains so keep an eye on the weather forecast.
