Lots of cool vids coming out lately - how about a small video compitetion.
Here's the idea!!!!!! what are your thoughts. great way to promote riding in nz.
Need Not Ollie Best Submitted Video Comp
What else you gotta know:
- Video submissions must be less than or equal to 2 minutes.
- You may submit as many videos as you want, but all videos must be in no later than 11:59pm PT on Sunday, x month and date.
- Videos will be judged on three criteria: entertainment value, quality of filming/editing, and quality of riding.
- All videos must be hosted at www.youtube.com, and tagged as Need Not Ollie BSV10. Then email a link to the video to videos@neednotollie.com by the deadline. Please include your name and contact info in the email.
- You must also save a full-quality version of your video on your computer for your entry to be eligible to win (we may request it at some point ).
- Need Not Ollie will do the initial round of judging, narrowing the submissions down to a top 10. From those final 10, a panel of outside judges will select the winner.
- The winner will receive "X". Other second and third place prizes will also be awarded.

Why only youtube? why not
Why only youtube? why not vimeo as well? and out of curiosity why ony 2 min?
just curious
THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS "I USED TO SK8"
I was wondering this aswell
I was wondering this aswell as most songs are longer than 2 mins... maybe to add that aspect of how well the video will flow with a music sample being cut in half

3 minutes
I reckon 3 mins is a good length as it gives you time to fit all that you want or need into the vid, any longer is too long, I'd say between 2.5 – 3 mins is good.
2 minutes is the perfect
2 minutes is the perfect time. more people are likely to watch something around that length. if it was 3 or 5 minutes then people are more likley to lose interest. It will require more creativity and skill to create a shorter vid.
i just copyed the rules off another video comp. of course changes need to be made. just an idea.
youtube is the highest used of the video sites. increased exposure. doesn't stop any one uploading them to places like vimeo though.
regardng the music. get creative.
