Crown Range Road, located between Wanaka and Queenstown. When you are coming from Wanaka, on the way to Queenstown via the Cardrona Valley. Pass Cardrona village, and go up to Crown Range. From there you have 2 parts were you can downhill.
The first one start at 1065m elevation to finish 3.2Km down at 720m elevation. It's the easiest part.
The second part start at 610m elevation and finish at 316m elevation. This one have a lots of U Turns and is the steepest. It finish at the intersection between Crown Range Road and Gibbston Highway.
The sealing was not really good until end of summer, but it should be better as they made a new one recently. you can ride on this road only from november to April, as they put gravel on it during winter time.
You can also ride from Crown Range to Cardrona. The road is pretty steep with not many turns, so you need to have a good control of your speed to go on that side...
Enjoy your ride!...

Nice picture from the spot (witch show the second part on the way to Queenstown, my favorite one.)For sure it's a crazy spot! Not the best one to learn downhill, but so sick!!! Hope I can go back riding that spot soon, and bring some pictures and videos from the session...
