Building longboards started as a weekend project which quickly turned into a bit of an obsession. Bombardier Longboards grew out of that obsession. For two years now Bombardier Longboards has been creating a unique range of hand-crafted longboard decks and completes that are individually made from quality materials and finished to the highest possible standards. Our aim is simply to offer a quality alternative to the factory made products sold for far greater prices in the local skate shops.

We currently have six standard deck shapes with variations that include cambered or flat configurations. The decks are individually laminated and pressed from marine grade plys. They are then hand shaped and sanded.

All have a small amount of concave to provide positive feel under your feet and we normally use silica sand on the deck surface, though this can be substituted with grip tape if preferred. The silica sand still provides good grip while remaining transparent, allowing the natural look of the wood to show through. A total of 5 or 6 coats of polyurethane are applied to finish the board.

The hand made nature of the boards ensures that each one is unique and these can be further enhanced and customised with our range of top quality imported trucks and wheels. These include ABEC11, Randal, Seismic, Bennett and Tracker, though we can order many other brands.

Within the limits of our current skills we have also produced a number of one-off custom boards for customers.
