Hello all - I am pleased to announce that neednotollie.com &
bestboards.co.nz will be hosting a video competition!
To enter this competition, you must learn a few simple tricks and film
yourself doing them.
Once all the videos are in, all site members will be able to vote on
their favourite with the winner taking away a free set of wheels - seismic speed vents thanks to bestboards.co.nz
Everyone who enters can also get themselves a neednotollie.com email
address if they want.
Seeing as winter is making skating a little hard at the moment I'm giving you 3 months to complete the video.
Rules:
1. You must be wearing a helmet
2. You must complete all the tricks, but be creative - add your own stuff if you want
3. Competition starts on Tuesday 1st July 2008 and submissions are due by 30th september

Here is the list of tricks that must be included - I will be posting
tips on how to complete these as the competition progresses:
1. Footbreak
2. Cross step
3. Parallel carve

These tricks are all much easier than the loaded challenge ones, but I will be posting some tips as the competition progresses.

Sweet sounds good guys, i know i said that i was unable to help out with the tricks cos i was busy but because you have given it 3 months, if you want me later on to make a trick tip video for some of the later tricks, i'd be happy bro.

Ive only just started to longboard but i am sooo keen to enter this. What is the judging on? The tricks on there own or how much people like the entire video?

It's been so wet, hope you guys are able to actually get outside and skate.
I have got the prize of nacho all ready to send out.
To enter, all you need to do is upload the video to youtube and post the link in the comments here.
I will keep it to just the three tricks due to the super crappy weather.
