Livin' with A.D.D. from joe karchemny on Vimeo.

Joe the speedy canuck has put together another video, this this time at the Auckland Luge track. Thanks heaps to everyone who helped film & skate, especially Joe & Jestah.

you know you want to....

Livin' with ADD. watch it, study it, drool over it!! Now change your undies and come out and ride the luge. thanx to everyone who has come out to ride thus far.

im coming ....

this weekend to get more action on that sexy bit of incline

big ups to Mr Speedy for a well good vid!

Riding was Gooood!

Riding looks good.

I would like to see improvements in more creative filming and angles. Less silly effects it only distracts from your riding.

The riding deserves a step up in filming/production side of things.

Got boring with all the repetitive shots could be cut in half.

Keep on ripping boys!

Many thanks for volenterring your skills!

Your the man! We have been hanging out for someone to set up as the new NNO camera man and movie editor. I always get a bit bummed having to take time out of my runs to film people but since your going to shooting this weekend im stoked!

I would suggest being at the track a little early so you can set up some sick shots
I dont mind lending you my handy-cam and tripod if you dont have your own. Im also sure we can get an other handy cam so we can get a bit of linked footage together too.

So on sunday after the session i can dump all of the footage onto a cd so you can get something posted by mid week.

Once again big ups cause i really want to focus on my riding this weekend to be able to give you the shots to make a super sick vid!

Sorry

sorry its not up to your expectations. I'll try to do better on my 3rd attempt at video editing, with only 3 session worth of footage. Sorry about the "silly effects". anyway it would be great having another person behind the lens. Don't expect anything artistic here, its an action sports video, nothing more.

see you out at the track

ride hard, ride safe!!

Cool Vid.

Nicely Done, and Quick might I say. You even mention my name!

Yes, I am excited about the track! Definately think there should be some follow cam, and moving camera angles on those corners.
I hope to get some stills, So I will bring out my camera aswell.

Some sick riding in there! Its definitely harder than it looks well for me anyways. But you get a lot better just in one session. Im looking forward to this weekend.

Nice!

Cool vid guys.

Looks like sooo much fun!

I love pavement

Why am I always crashing in these videos?????

Im keen to get some footage of the other two tracks on Sunday once I get a little tired from riding.

because....

seeing other people crash reminds us all of our humanity, that everyone crashes. Besides jestah took some hard knocks as you can see. It also shows the reasons why we have to wear full protection. And yes getting some more angles would be FKn great. Have lots of ideas for angles but have only been behind the lens once and only got jestah on film.

Cool video

cool video! didn't expect julian to pop in there it was a nice surprise, i do agree with josh, I'm sorry that jestah and speedy canuck took what josh said the wrong way and got a lil nasty, as he was only trying to help. on the freebord forum josh has been subjected to the exact same advice and because of that has become a stronger filmier and editor.

one thing i find that is good is use your zoom, if u do shots that are zoomed in you get good depth of field and can be very effective. Different angles would be a plus but I do understand how its quite hard to at the luge track when the soundings are quite the same. For some life style shots don't be a afraid to get up close and personal with people/gear/objects its good to see stuff that we would never really see with our own eyes. follow cam is also a great Idea it puts the viewer in a front row seat of a skater. home made handles are very easy to use and will become your best camera tool ( plus a fish eye ) and one last thing don't be afraid to experiment its the only way we learn things!

Good video, great riding and im excited for riding this sunday!

its all good.

Just got a bit offended, but I'm past it now. I do agree about mixing up the camera angles. As for using the zoom, well the action shots when the zoom did get used were ones that I caught when it was just jestah and i. I would love to have some help with filming, I've found lots of great angles, but i haven't really been there to capture them. When it all comes down to it, i just wanted to get this video out so peep could get an idea of what riding that track is like. The track owners would like us to put a video together that they can show in their main office. so lets get out there and grab some footy.

cheers

I didnt get at all nasty

Hi

i was not being nasty but rather making a cheaky comment to hussle you guys out to the track to share the shooting out as it can suck to be a skater stuck behind a cam.

I personally think that its a bit rude to make critisim that is all negitive with out actually also balancing that with things you actually liked about the vid.

Im still serious about you guys being the new track vid crew btw, so dont be late as you could get some nice establishing shots of all the skaters driving in and unloading :P

follow shots

if ur gonne do some filming while riding get a stabalizer or make one. pretty much jst a pipe with a weight on the bottom and a camera on top. works really well.

follow shots...

Almost impossible to do on the track as the camera man needs both hands free, but we'll figure somethin out.

Haha i thought it was

Haha i thought it was cracker, although my pc doesn't do vimeo as well, stupid wooden thing. It looks so sweet. Nice comeback on Josh btw. Massive congrats to the dude who got that sussed with the luge. Big step for NZ longboarding. Ride hard, play safe!

rock on!

4 sure, works best when every one takes a turn behind the camera mixing it up with everyones creativity.

worked well today with everyone having there turn, was awesome fun.

sorry if the comment came across abit harsh but hey i know you guys can do better. I'll try be more pc next time.

*follow cam shots worked well on the freebord. argeed that a longboarder would have abit on.

peace

indeed

would be good to combine everyones footage for the video to play at the track. I'm only off work for the next week, if any of you guys are keen to edit it all, speak up and we'll get you the best of our raw footy as well. All in all some great riding this weekend both sat and sun. Thank you to everyone who came out, and those who didn't, get your arses out there next weekend.
